Actually, I want a new campaign for GW1. Forget about GW2.

I'd still rather wait; the graphics in GW are great, but the graphics in GW2 will probably be spectacular. With a new campaign, I doubt we would see drastic improvements graphically. GW2 will be a fresh start.

List of things probably going to be in next content update:
-Skill Update
-Removal of Heroes from GvG and HA
-Addition of Henchmen to PvP
-Something else, I really dont care what else; the above is enough.

like raising to level 30 would matter lol. then they would have to go and change EVERYTHING PvE would be way too easy lol.
I'd rather them focus everything they have on GW2 and leave GW with a few updates here and there to bait us lol.
If they drop everything to work on a new campaign they would have already finished GW2 by the time they do the new campaign.

Fancy graphics don't make anything "Fresh." They make it pretty. Very little of what little was revealed about GW2 seems "fresh." Mostly warmed-over WoW leftovers...

I persoanlly beleive TOA would become a wasteland. With the nerf of permas it will essentially kill dungeons with the occasional 600's running a few. UW will become obselete. It is the same thing with every nerf, let's go back to ursan days. After Ursan was nerfed it killed DOA and people discovered perma, well now they will take away perma and someonelse will find another big farm that will be leaked.
We all know that if they nerf perma and if there isn't another big farm (discovered quick), many will quit guild wars especially with aion, DDO, and others coming out.
Guild Wars is dead, but the little flesh it has left will rot if perma is nerfed...

Because throwing more skills and classes at a game that emphasises the use of those skills over equipment makes it harder and harder to balance and manage. This is a result of the sheer number of permutations of skills you can fit in a bar - more skills more variations, more ways to use and abuse, ergo harder to manage. It ends up damaging the game more than it benefits it in terms of balance and increases the entry barrier to new players (who now have even more skills to unlock before they can be considered useful). There's more reasons than that, but that's a start.
OT: I'm not holding my breath for an update. This fan has been burnt a few too many times to keep faith in time lines until the content (whatever that is) has been delivered. April's update was a thumbs up from me but the hype and teasers about this one has been nearly non existent. Or is that a reaction to Aion?

DoA is dead because the rewards are crap, and it takes a lot more effort than other elite areas.
ToA, on the other hand, has good rewards, and little effort. It's not going to die if speed clears get nerfed.

*Meant to say shadow form, not speed clears.
You are aware that even if SF gets nerfed, groups will still be able to do speed clears, right? Shadow form isn't the biggest problem, it just makes things faster. The problem lies within the design of the UW and FoW. If shadow form gets nerfed people are simply going to move onto the next best thing. As long as the design for the UW and FoW aren't changed, there will always be 'speed clears'. Even if ANet changed the design for both of these areas making it impossible to split up and clear individual areas at the same time, they will never die. People will always desire ecto, shards, eternal blades, obsidian edges, and all the other rare, valuable items you can obtain from these two areas.
Also, pretty sure 4 hours is over exaggerating just a little bit.

This goes along witht he DOA thing you said no one was doing:
there are still people doing DOA, so it hasn't "died" if you want to get technical about it, but UW and FoW will end up exactly like DOA, yes people will desire all of those things but there will be a new farm and people will buy those things not go and farm them. Honestly I think it will take at least 2 and a half hours for uw, just my opinion though.

It will take that long for terrible groups. If you honestly think nerfing SF is going to make it impossible to continue with speed clears, then you are simply wrong. Granted the new speed clears wouldn't be as fast, but they're still going to be possible.

In less than 4 hours you could clear UW (normal or hm) with a 55/ss. I seriously doubt an 8-player team would take anywhere near as long.

ok im going to give you they are possible where did i say they weren't??? anyways back on track, they wouldnt even be called sc's lol they would be too painful to run, we will see if and when the nerf happens my bet is toa turns out exactly like doa urgoz deep and sorrows furnace have. Of course someone will find out new builds to things but overall it will kill it imo

You bring up a good point about Sorrow's Furnace. When i first started playing, SF greens were 100k+, practically worthless now. i think that if Shadow form gets nerfed uw will turn into the new sorrows furnace or doa, and ectos will be made just from solo farms, whatever happened to VwK farm, FoW on the other hand is not as dependent on shadow form and will find a way around it. people will still do clears of UW but i doubt it will become quite as common and will probably stay within guild/alliance/friend groups.
A good parallel to UW is DoA. DoA:Ursan UW:SF DoA: ursan nerf=very few DoA clears but still soome going on, some solo farms for gems, very heavily farmed before nerf.
UW:after a SF nerf will have some clears and solo farms will take control. before nerf, what it is now, overly cleared in a short amount of time.
Although i have to say, i think ANet wont nerf SF. Once SF gets nerfed, i dont think id ever play with other people except for when running them and doing stuff w/ guildies. It would just destroy the atmosphere
*Sorry about spelling!

This is what I have been trying to say the whole time lolz. I mean it falls into a cycle almost, UW and DOA will be about the same if SF takes a nerf, I am leaving it here. Feel Free to argue if yout want, but like I said:
Guild Wars is already dead, but the little flesh it has left will rot with the SF Nerf.
As Always Goodluck and Have Fun in the game no matter what get's nerfed.

I didn't mean GW2 would be a fresh start because of the graphics. Altogether it will be a fresh start for me; I'm not utilizing the HoM.

Yeah yeah yeah. We've heard that old threat a thousand times already. You seriously think the only thing keeping some people playing this game is being able to perma? Those Speedclearers will leave for Aion or anywhere else as soon as they can, not when they nerf perma.
